2022 Retrospective

2022 Retrospective

As we come to the end of the year we’d like to take a moment to reminisce about the many exciting creative events, activities and exhibitions that we enjoyed together at the gallery here in Glastonbury over the last 12 months.

We have hosted 9 art exhibitions including shows by Somerset artists Aga Kubish, Kim von Coels, Frances Watts, Frank Harwood, Jim Pilston & Sara Trenchard. Theres been free talks by creative proffesionals that span different mediums within thier work including garden designers, photographers, film makers, painters, musicians & sculptors. We have done a trial run on our Poetry nights, had an immersive film screening event and introduced several groups of primary school children to the gallery environment. Theres been live music, live art, interactive installations, demonstrations, networking socials, workshops and more.

After an unusual start in September 2020 when we opened during the pandamic, it naturally took us a little while to get into the flow of things. It has always been our plan to compliment our exhibition schedule with an array of engaging creative activities and events that allow people to learn new things, be inspired and create connections. It is our pleasure to finally be able to share these things with our community.

Our experiences over these last 12 months has proved to us that access to art, culture & creativity is important, therefore we endeavour to continue improving what we do. Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive space for creativity to be shared.

We look forward to sharing our plans for 2023 with you in the new year.
