    Ama Menec

  • About this artist
  • My Goddess sculptures are mostly modern re-workings of Neolithic and Bronze Age female archetypes such as the Nile Goddess, but I have now branched out into female and feminist icons too, such as Regency legend Anne Lister.
My patinated foundry bronze sculptures also explore reintroduced and naturally recovered species such as red kites and buzzards, and of needlessly persecuted British wildlife such as badgers and foxes.
In the South East I exhibit mostly at the Royal Academy, Mall Galleries etc, and in the South West at Delamore, South West Academy, etc. I make occasional forays further afield to the Royal Scottish Academy, the Ulster Royal Academy and ship my work to customers internationally.
