20 Minute Portraits with Gail Reid

“Some people find it relaxing to sit in silence being sketched, others find it a rewarding challenge. Sitters may wear a favourite article of clothing, have their eyes closed, read a book, anything goes! No need for makeup, no need for cheesy smiles – this is a chance to reflect the real person”

Gail is a very friendly member of the HOTT core artist team, with many years’ experience putting sitters at ease, and sketching from life. Portraits typically take 20 minutes, after which you are welcome to have a quick look and discuss any fine tuning (eg “please neaten my moustache!”). The sketch is an expressive recognisable portrait, not a photographic likeness. If you would like to keep it, it is included in the price and will be presented in a protective acetate bag with a professionally cut acid free mount. Gail is a professional portrait artist, regularly undertaking portrait commissions in oil or pencil. Her work was selected for the prestigious Royal Portrait Society annual open exhibition this year.

Cost: £25 per person (proceeds go to charity)
