Interdisciplinary artist Melanie Thompson, core artist at the Heart of the Tribe gallery, Glastonbury is opening her multi – media solo exhibition this Spring

Melanie’s background and training is as a physical performer as well as a visual artist so every day there will be a live performance called Empathetic Shoes where Melanie will put herself into other people’s shoes and accompanying sound tracks offered by the public.

The live performance, Empathetic Shoes will happen via live stream on the Heart of The Tribe facebook page at 12.00pm every day between this February 1^st to 23^rd 2021. In it Melanie will try to explore her own question – Where do we go from here ? by offering the act of empathy as a way to move forward. She will do this by feeling ‘what it is to be in someone else’s shoes’.

She needs you out there to offer your shoes so each day she can respond to each pair and slowly through the exhibition create a new installation.
