July 31, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

An illustrated talk by Ross Wallis
Taking place in the event space at the end of our beautiful garden at Heart of The Tribe.
Answers to some art historically important questions such as:
Why did Lord Nelson’s mistress dressed only in sheets?
Why was Pre-Raphaelite muse Lizzie Siddal lying in a cold bath?
What led to Lee Miller posing in Hitlers bath?
And who the heck was Elsa Hildegard Baroness von Freytag-Loringhoven, and why was she dancing provocatively in dangling tin can jewellery?
Some of the stories behind famous works of art, and the women, often invisible to history, who shouldn’t  be.
Ross recently retired from teaching Art at Sidcot School for 35 years, and over that time collected various anecdotes about art and artists which which he amused and entertained his students – this afternoon will be a taste of just such.
Free light Refreshments, tea & coffee.
No booking necessary.
