27 Sep Linocut Printing with Shelley Dyer-Gibbins
Yesterday our event space made a successful debut as a public workshop space for creative pursuits. Award winning artist Shelley Dyer-Gibbins hosted a one day introduction to Linocut printing to a group of 4 wonderful participants. Ranging from complete beginners to people who had experimented with the technique before, the outcomes were all beautiful.
Shelley says “I’ve taught my craft for over 4 years now, but today was the first time I ran a workshop at ‘Heart of the Tribe’ and was so impressed with the workshop space. It has such a good vibe with the beautifully landscaped garden adjacent to it. It was great to see people attend after such a long time of being in lockdown but also being social with socially distancing. Linocut is a wonderful craft to have a go with, even if you’re artistic or not. There is no right or wrong. There are no boundaries. It’s all about mark making, having fun and Art being good for you’re soul.”

“Great workshop, totally enjoyed every minute & amazingly enough for someone who doesn’t have an artistic bone in her body come out with an amazing linoprint. I’m so chuffed!! Can highly recommend this workshop.” Nicola
